FITSPLORATION’S FOLLOWER APPRECIATION GIVEAWAY!!!

I love you guys so much, so I’m deciding to give what I thought were MOST helpful in my journey to self-love, health, and fitness. YAY! MY FIRST GIVEAWAY! The items included are:

  • iHome + remote (putting my iPod/iPhone in this was a lifesaver)

20 Turkish Get Ups (18#- tried the 26# but almost fell on my head after 50 ring dips!!)

Paleo challenge, take 2!!

Monday started the journey of the next 60 day paleo challenge. I was extremely happy with the results last time and I hope to do as well this time around! There will be a few obstacles this time…. 1. My boyfriend and I bought a house and are closing (hopefully!) next week! (yay!)🎉 so we will have out work cut out for us between moving and getting the place move in ready. There will be some late nights and little time to prepare. (eek!). And 2. It’s a hour away from where i currently live so I will be leaving my current CrossFit and switching to my boyfriends. Which I am excited about, I love his cf and can’t wait to go! But, that means holding myself accountable :). I can do it!!! I have to remember all the gains I made last time. Not only strength but my energy, attitude, confidence. For the past few months I have been a good 90/10, 80/20 some weeks are better than others. So
Hopefully this time will be a bit easier to stick too. Knowledge is half the battle!

4/9- “Front Squats, Up And Over The Mountain (1-10-1 Squats)”

Front squats 5-5-5-3-3-3
65,75,85,90,95,100
Need to control my squat! I have to find that below parallel mark without going too low! I’m losing power in my hips :)

Up n over the mountain. Probably the worst squat exercise ever made up!!! So you grab a partner and the first person does 1 air squat, partner 2 is resting, on tension. As soon as partner 1 is done, partner 2 goes while partner 1 is resting on tension. Then 2, then 3, all the way to 10 and then back down 9,8…. To 1. HARDEST wod ever! My legs started spassaming around 5! Haha we did it in around 5 min, but I think some counting may have gotten screwed up. It’s hard to count when legs are cramping haha

4/6- “Clean And Jerk Ladder”

Teams of 3, built in rest!
Start with 10 cj, then a round of Cindy, 9 cj then round of Cindy. Only 1 partner on barbell at once. 25 min cap, made it to round 5.
I did 70# cj, def could have done more but it was tough with the team. Great workout, there wasn’t too much time to rest but seemed to go pretty fast! I was really focusing on form for my pushups. Overall, went pretty well!

PRed on the 1rm!! Wahoo!!

Had to take a few days off due to a pinched nerve in my neck!! Not fun. According to the doc, I just slept on it wrong. I was REALLY sore after the last Deadlift workout we did Friday, I am going to associate it with that!!

3/28- “Elizabeth”

I did this wod at an amazing gym in nh, called CrossFit Free. Everyone was great! I hope my friend signs up so I can have a reason to visit :)

3x1 squat cleans
75#, 85#, 90# (I could have went higher but we ran out of time. Cleans felt super strong today! I worked on some hip mobility that the coach showed me and it helped a lot.)

Ring dips

I used 65# and a purple band for the dips. I def underestimate myself sometimes and could have used a bit more weight. But it’s awesome how a weight that was super heavy just a few months ago feels light now!!
Graduating to the purple band from the blue was a huge step as well!! Nothing inbetween, just made the jump! Wahoo!

3/25- “Trail Run”

So in lieu of my attempt to train for the mudder, I went on a trail run in the fells with Joe and Alex. It was a bit rainy, but overall a great run! Gotta get more running in!!!
